About the role
The Registered Professional Nurse at Cabell Huntington Hospital is responsible for applying the nursing process, delegating tasks to other staff, supervising patient care, coordinating care for a group of patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Delegating patient care tasks to other staff members
- Supervising other patient care staff
- Cooking care for a group of patients
- Consulting with other members of the health care team as necessary
Requirements
Candidates must have proof of required degrees, certificates, and/or certifications at the time of the interview. Unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.
Qualifications
Necessary qualifications include a current RN license, BLS certification, and experience in outpatient surgery settings.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in medical terminology are essential.
