RN (Outpatient) Full-Time, Days
The role is based in The Dalles, Oregon, at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge—a 49-bed hospital with medical offices, home health, and a birthing center serving the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901. The Dalles offers scenic views, local charm, and a variety of dining and recreational opportunities.
About the role
Delivers coordinated nursing care for outpatients in a clinic setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff, coordinates care with other disciplines, and uses critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes relevant patient health data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates care plans to attain patient outcomes.
- Coordinates care delivery and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing, and caring environment.
- Provides health education to patients, families, and team members.
- Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures; assists physicians with minor surgery.
- Performs additional procedures as directed.
- Delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (Washington RN license required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required per policy).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA-ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS) certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.
Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $43.11 to $64.62 per hour. Additional compensation may include differentials, shift incentives, or bonuses. A comprehensive benefits program is also available for qualifying positions.
Schedule
- Full-time regular position.
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts.
