Job Summary

The Staff Nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophies, objectives, standards of care, and policies and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care and functions as a charge nurse according to the Nurse Manager's expectations for an assigned shift. The Orthopedic Unit is a 30-bed postoperative care unit focusing on total joint and spine surgeries. The goal is to provide excellent quality service during patients' hospital stay, ensuring the best possible outcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing and/or graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
• Possess the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication.
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
