RN or LPN - Morningside Clinic

Essential Job Duties

• Performs general nursing care to patients.
• Screens patients for appropriate information.
• Administers prescribed medications, tests and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative and therapeutic nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
• Affixes equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients and documents accurately in the patient's chart.
• Performs delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
• Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions, within scope of practice.
• Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the patient's care as evidenced by other department feedback.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.

Education and Experience

RN Required:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a State Registered Nurse License
• CPR Certification
• Possession of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred
• Word processing and computer experience

LPN Required:

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Valid state license to practice practical nursing
• CPR Certification
• Word processing and computer experience.
