About the Role
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They function within the framework of organizational policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients across the lifecycle using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Function within the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Maintain standards of nursing practice.
- Coordinate patient care activities of assigned staff to ensure quality care.
- Demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required); graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- Work Experience: No experience required for new graduates. PRN positions prefer 1 year in a hospital setting.
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting: Preferred for all roles.
