About the role

Assesses patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans. Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care. Administers medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols. Monitors and evaluates patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Documents patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Educates patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance. Advocates for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures. Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. Maintains sterile environment and adheres to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Performs therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Provides emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery. Engages in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skill set, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments.
• Works independently, self-motivated, takes direction from physician and management to complete assignments.
• Maintain safe knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• EMR charting.
• Computer literate.
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing.
• Bachelor's of Nursing.

Skills

• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS).
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• ATD Master Instructional Designer Certified (ATD).
