Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments.
• Works independently, self-motivated, takes direction from physician and management to complete assignments.
• Maintain safe knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• EMR charting.
• Computer literate.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• ATD Master Instructional Designer Certified (ATD).

Education and Experience

• Associate's of Nursing.
• 1+ year medical surgical experience.
• 1+ year surgery experience.

Additional Information

Licenses and certifications required include Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS), Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and ATD Master Instructional Designer Certified (ATD).
