Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
  • Circulate and/or scrub on Heart Team cases.
  • Primarily work on General, Ortho (trauma), Neuro, Spine, Eyes, ENT, GU, Robotics (DaVinci XI/SI), Vascular, Endovascular, Cardiac, and Trauma OB/GYN cases.
  • Provide breaks and/or additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.
  • Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.
  • Act as an advocate for the patient before, during, and after surgery.

Our facility includes 17 OR suites, including 1 trauma room, a hybrid room, a designated CVOR, and a Cystoscopy Suite, handling approximately 450-500 cases per month.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
  • RN License required; current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • Medium Work - exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.

Previous OR experience is required. Previous CVOR/Heart Team experience is preferred.

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week with variable shifts based on surgical volume and unit needs.
  • Call required, including rotating call for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 30-minute callback radius required.

Our state-of-the-art medical campus is the home base for Flight For Life Colorado. With four trauma rooms, including the T-10 room, and a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.

Pay

$33.15 - $59.67 per hour
