RN Cardiovascular Operating Room

The Registered Nurse CVOR is responsible for leading the cardiovascular operating room team, providing specialized care during open-heart and other cardiovascular surgeries. They collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care, ensuring optimal health outcomes or supporting a peaceful death. Required qualifications include current RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of cardiovascular OR experience, with a preference for vascular experience. The role demands expertise in cardiovascular procedures, functioning with high acuity, managing complex equipment such as cardiopulmonary bypass machines, tandem heart, balloon pump, and hybrid CV suite, along with proficiency in Med-Rad injector skills. The nurse must handle high workload volumes, perform under stress, and accommodate varying schedules, including on-call responsibilities. Key skills include critical thinking, effective teamwork, and the ability to work with specialized equipment. The position offers full-time hours with shifts from early morning to late afternoon, some call requirements, and benefits effective from day one.
