RN Cardiovascular Operating Room

About the role

The Registered Nurse CVOR leads the cardiovascular operating room team and delivers specialized care during open-heart and other cardiovascular surgeries. They collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care to achieve optimal health outcomes or support a peaceful death.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cardiovascular operating room team during surgical procedures
• Provide specialized nursing care during open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Operate and manage complex equipment including cardiopulmonary bypass machines, tandem heart, intra-aortic balloon pump, and hybrid CV suite
• Demonstrate proficiency in Med-Rad injector skills
• Perform under high acuity and manage high workload volumes
• Accommodate varying schedules, including on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least one year of cardiovascular OR experience
• Preference for vascular experience

Schedule

Full-time hours with shifts from early morning to late afternoon and some call requirements.
