Responsibilities

• Absorb patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skill set, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments.
• Works independently, self-motivated, takes direction from physician and management to complete assignments.
• Maintain safe knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• EMR charting.
• Computer literate.
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Skills

• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems [Preferred]
• Knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions [Required]
• Ability to follow verbal instructions [Required]
• Keyboarding (manual) [Required]
• Computer (visual) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) [Preferred]
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Preferred]

• ATD Master Instructional Designer Certified (ATD) [Preferred]

Pay

Pay Range: $32.76 - $57.47
