About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Morris Cancer Center 9 at the New Brunswick campus. This is a 32-bed Oncology Unit with all private rooms. The unit serves a variety of medical oncology, surgical oncology, other blood disorders, and intermediate care patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, adhering to ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: At least 1-3 years of Oncology RN experience.
• Preferred: Oncology or BMTU Certification.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• 36 hours per week.
• Monday – Friday with some weekend and holiday rotation.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 - $71.72 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
