RN - Oncology
About the role
The Oncology Department at Avita Health System is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team. We are located in multiple locations including Ontario, Bucyrus, and Galion.
Responsibilities
- Affirms and implements nursing care for patients within the specialty clinic setting.
- Participates in patient and family teaching sessions.
- Maintains the role of patient advocate, aligning with the facility's mission.
- Coordinates with clinical staff to manage patient flow and operational tasks as directed by the Oncology Manager.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Completion of an online education program for PICC/Midline insertion or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Two (2) or more years of previous experience working in an outpatient specialty clinic/center preferred.
- Previous experience with PICC/Midlines preferred.
