RN - Observation Unit

About the Role

This role involves providing acute care on a 35-bed Observation Unit, caring for patients with diverse conditions such as cardiac, general surgery, and behavioral health. The unit promotes a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with close collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties including assessments, developing and modifying care plans, administering interventions, and documenting care accurately.
• Ensure patient and staff safety, communicate effectively, and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Manage IV sites, start IVs, and adhere to safety and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience.

Skills

• Equipment handling such as Foley, IV, NG insertions, telemetry monitoring, and patient connection.
• Strong communication, teamwork, prioritization, adaptability, and safety awareness.
