RN - OB

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients within the Obstetrics Department at Avita Galion Hospital. They will ensure continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs, and other support staff.

Responsibilities

• Affirmatively assesses and documents patient needs, goals, and progress.
• Plans and implements individualized nursing care based on patient assessment.
• Evaluates patient response to care and adjusts plan as necessary.
• Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization's mission.
• Participates in patient and family teaching sessions.
• Serves as a resource to nursing assistants, LPNs, and other support staff.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
• Two or more years of previous experience working on an obstetrics unit preferred.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with rotating shifts and occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
