Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with trends, developments, and regulatory requirements impacting matters within your designated scope of responsibility.
  • Administer, oversee, and document the administration of medications (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, and intravenously) as ordered by healthcare practitioners and in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Assess patient needs, gather relevant data, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Plan care based on identified needs during initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care to patients within the scope of practice.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and assist with coordinating post-discharge needs.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence, understanding how different cultures can affect communication, collaboration, and care delivery.
  • Document care delivered and patient status using the nursing process in accordance with FHS standards of care.
  • Receive and ensure appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Possession of a BSN degree is preferred.
  • Credential as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Current Healthcare BLS Certification.
  • Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
