About the role

This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to the OB Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Identify and care for patients, including infants, ensuring their needs are met.
• Work as a team player and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Show a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families.
• Use superb organizational skills for supplies and equipment.
• Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.

Requirements

• Education: Associate of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
• New York RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Nursing Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
