About the role
Serves as supervisor in the absence of administrative personnel. Evaluates and facilitates resolution of administrative issues based on established hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses and patient care areas regarding activities related to bed management and staffing within the hospital.
- Maintains ongoing operations of the hospital during the absence of administrative personnel.
- Responsible for daily staffing resource allocation in the absence of staffing coordinator, following Workforce Optimization guidelines, productivity measures and unit based staffing grids.
- Coordinates bed utilization by overseeing the maintenance of all patient flow, capacity management and bed availability in order to expedite quality patient care through collaboration with Patient Registration, Physicians, Nursing division and other patient care areas.
- Ensures that patients admitted to the hospital meet the requirements for acute care, and are assigned to the appropriate level of care.
- Serves as supervisor in the absence of administrative personnel.
- Evaluates and facilitates resolution of administrative issues based on established hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Nurse, Registered (RN)
- Licensure: Nurse, Registered (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- 3-5 years clinical experience
- Active participation in hospital committees

- Current RN licensure in State of Illinois
- CPR Certification - ACLS, PALS for triage component of the role
