About the Role
Bayhealth Medical Center is Central and Southern Delaware’s healthcare leader with hospitals in Dover and Milford, as well as stand-alone Emergency Departments in Smyrna and Milton. We offer various practice settings throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. Our Kent Campus is 90 minutes from Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Baltimore, while our Sussex Campus is 30 minutes from the Delaware beaches.
Responsibilities
- Facilitator of Learning
- Develop and evaluate core curricula
- Assess learning needs through assessment and analysis of feedback outcomes
- Lead experiential learning activities through innovative teaching and learning methods
- Change Agent
- Foster acceptance, adoption, and action toward change
- Mentor and Leader
- Validate clinical performance
- Establish effective communication networks with unit and organizational leadership
- Champion Scientific Inquiry
- Create a supportive environment for nursing research, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and integrating into clinical practice
- Advocate for Role Development
- Facilitate orientation processes, nurse residency program, and role transitions with a focus on retention and growth
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate competency programs and identify deficiencies in staff competency
- Partner for Collaboration and Practice Transitions
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams, leaders, stakeholders, and others to facilitate nursing practice and positive outcomes both internally and within the community
- Partner with shared governance councils at the unit and system level to effect nursing practice and generate positive outcomes
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Credential(s):
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification related to the position, if applicable
- Experience: 3 years of relevant clinical RN nursing / preceptor experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master Degree in Nursing
- Credential(s): Nursing Professional Development board certification
- Experience: 5 years of relevant clinical nursing experience with 3 years of relevant teaching experience

Pay
Salary Range: $82,950.40 - $128,564.80 yearly
