Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process for direct patient care, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient wellness, and modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid RN licensure, at least 6 months of women and infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship, and certifications such as NRP and BLS. Key skills involve evidence-based practice, safety, and quality care, along with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
