Pinehurst Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Pinehurst, NC, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our nursing team provides compassionate, high-quality, safe, and efficient medication dispensing to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

Schedule

  • Full-Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 5 AM - 2 PM
  • Occasional Saturday mornings, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Medication Room of the clinic is in full compliance with all facility or clinic policies, Federal and State Laws and Regulations at all times.
  • Supervise daily clinical operations for staff, make staff assignments, and create schedules. Update schedules for providers and support staff when changes are made.
  • Supervise and evaluate work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service, or maintenance staff for the work group, and other clinic staff, as directed.
  • Ensure medical records for patients are in compliance with facility or clinic policies, Federal and State Laws and Regulations at all times. Review medical records to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance with operational standards. Participate in program development, development or implementation of operating policy and procedure, and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, as requested.
  • Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
  • Administer medications per physician/provider orders, accurately document medication administration, and ensure accurate count of controlled substance medication administration on required documents, as required.
  • Perform blood and other specimen collection and processing, and read test results as ordered by Program Physicians, as required.
  • Transport medication to other locations and/or work on a CTC Mobile Unit, based on clinic service model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN).
  • Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, unless otherwise required by State or Licensing requirements.
  • Current RN license in North Carolina.
  • Current CPR certification where required by state regulation.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in behavioral health/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient).
  • Previous nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
  • Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including the safe handling, administration, and documentation of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
  • Experience in medication dispensing, monitoring patient dosing, and observing for adverse reactions or medication interactions.
  • Understanding of nursing best practices related to substance use treatment, including trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.
  • Accurate and timely documentation of medication administration records (MARs), patient vitals, and incident reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards) related to controlled substances and patient care.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, case managers, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
