Title: Registered Nurse- Non-Exempt

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing as ordered on the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.
• Demonstrates and documents clinical skills.
• Identifies and follows through on new problems, changes, and/or resolution of problems as directed.
• Performs specific treatments and medication administration as per care plan.
• Functions as a team member, collaborating with and responsible to the patient, physician, and healthcare team.
• Displays correct skilled nursing care that reflects compliance with State, Federal regulations.
• Represents the company and community positively.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Participates in Agency’s other mandated activities as requested.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved certification/program/accredited school/undergraduate/graduate school or post graduate education.
• Valid/unencumbered verification/license to practice the job as described in the state where services are provided.
• Professional experience as required per state regulations.
• Successful completion of assigned screening/competency testing with a proficiency score of 80% or greater.
• Reliable transportation.
• Current TB results or Chest x-ray.
• CPR certification as per agency policy.
• Flexibility, organization, and ability to exercise independent and sound judgment.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, stop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull and reach.
• Lighting, acoustics, air quality, temperature and environment hazards not predictable.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to perform the anticipated level of physical assistance required to provide safe client care.

Work Environment

• Highly variable work environment, including private homes.
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, household pets/animals, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequent travel to complete home health visits.
