Responsibilities

  • Ensures all patients in assigned area receive quality and comprehensive care.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care throughout the continuum of care.
  • Guarantees proper documentation (Orders and Authorizations) are available and correct for each individual patient.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for care management.
  • Provides expert nursing care which includes direct clinical practice, consultation, education and research.
  • Directs patient/family education and services to ensure the delivery of high quality care in the most family-centered, efficient and economical manner.
  • Communicates with all members of the team on behalf of the patient.
  • Collaborates with the management team to plan, implement, evaluate and document staff development related to patient/family education and quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience in Patient Care as a Registered Nurse in the acute care setting required.
  • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC)).

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of the principles of supervising staff.
  • Planning and organizing nursing care, applying advanced nursing clinical skills, maintaining records and charts, and preparing written reports.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay

Schedule

Work Schedule: 7:50am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
