About the Role

We are seeking a RN Nurse Manager for Children’s Services to promote growth and unlock possibilities at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.

As the manager, you will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and plan for patient care needs
  • Direct and provide nursing care in accordance with established standards and administrative policies
  • Lead and manage the Children’s Services team

Requirements

  • Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date if not already certified)
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date if not already certified)
  • Current STABLE certification (must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date if not already certified)
  • Minimum 3 years of PICU or Pediatrics (Peds) clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care hospital setting
