RN - Nurse Lead, Step Down Unit, Part Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Provides unit-based leadership in a healthcare setting, collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure delivery of safe, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care. Supervises and coordinates nursing and ancillary staff, assesses staffing needs, and manages personnel performance, including coaching, discipline, and hiring decisions. Fosters a patient and family-centered environment, emphasizing cultural diversity and personalized care. Ensures compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement initiatives. Conducts patient rounds, gathers feedback, and develops strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and care outcomes. Maintains departmental operations, oversees equipment and facility safety, and manages staffing within budget constraints. Performs additional duties as assigned to support clinical and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent; Master’s preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; CPR/BLS preferred; specialty certifications optional
