About the role
Administers general, regional anesthetics or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending Anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informs attending Anesthesiologist of patient's condition; recommends anesthetics to be used, techniques of administration, and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines. Checks anesthesia machine and monitoring equipment, supplies, medication, and anesthesia gases. Monitors and records the patient's vital signs, records all medication administered to the patient, and related reaction and responses.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- 2 years experience in an academic medical center OR as a CRNA (Preferred)
Qualifications
- PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Required)
- Basic Life Support (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Multi State Compact RN License (Required)
