RN Novice Nurse Program

About the role

The primary purpose of your job is to provide nursing services in the Nursing Acute in accordance with the current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations and established policies and procedures as may be directed by the CEO, Director of Physician Services, CNE and practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a preceptor following a Tiered Skills Acquisition Model for orientation.
• Gradually assume increased responsibilities as interventions and skills are mastered while advancing through the tiered system.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree Nursing Required.
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred.
• Current BLS Unit requirements: Acute care-MED/SURG.
• Demonstrates ability to care for patients in various age groups, pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Demonstrates ability to care for surgical and medical patients.
• Demonstrates ability to provide a safe environment for short-term psychiatric patients.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge and safe use of medications specific to the acute care patient population.

Qualifications

• External Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
