About the role
The New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health is accredited by the ANCC and offers a collaborative learning environment for new graduates to transition into professional nursing roles.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients.
- Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Delegates appropriately and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients.
- Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members.
- Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts concerning the health care of the patient.
Requirements
- Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- BSN preferred - open to ADN at select locations.
- Current BLS card (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI).
- No more than 12 months of RN experience.
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- BLS certification is required.
- Maintains clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations.
- One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is desired.
Skills
- Specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care.
- Knowledge of the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age-specific, and educational needs of the patient.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.

Pay
- $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
- Work 3, 12 hour night shifts a week.
