About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital, a community-based facility known for its advanced research, cutting-edge technology, and world-class patient care. The 9th floor Med/Surg and Stroke Unit specializes in comprehensive stroke care for patients who have recently experienced a stroke.
Responsibilities
- Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors.
- Offer healthcare information as needed to enhance patients' and families' experiences.
- Provide direct nursing care, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patients' conditions and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge needs.
- Provide education to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Pay and Schedule
- Pay Range: Minimum hourly $35.50, Maximum hourly $55.60.
- Workdays: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., every other weekend and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
