RN – Neuro/Stroke Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital, a community-based facility known for its advanced research, cutting-edge technology, and world-class patient care. The 9th floor Med/Surg and Stroke Unit specializes in comprehensive stroke care for patients who have recently experienced a stroke.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors.
• Offer healthcare information as needed to enhance patients' and families' experiences.
• Provide direct nursing care, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patients' conditions and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge needs.
• Provide education to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Range: Minimum hourly $35.50, Maximum hourly $55.60.
• Workdays: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., every other weekend and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
