About the role
We’re currently seeking full-time experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. As a Neuro PCU RN, no two days are alike. Staff on this unit practice within the Team Nursing Model and consider teamwork our greatest strength in providing safe, quality, and compassionate patient care. This unit includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is an award-winning Comprehensive Stroke Center certified through Joint Commission.
The conditions primarily served in our Neuro PCU include:
- Hemicraniectomy
- Aneurysm Clip and Coils
- Glioblastomas
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- TIA Stroke – Hemorrhagic and Ischemic
- Neurosurgery
- Seizures
- Brain Mass
Schedule
Full-time, night shifts (7pm-7am) on a 12-hour schedule.

Requirements
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing (ADN required; BSN preferred)
- Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
- Preferred 12-18 months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- RN license
- Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role
