About the role

This is not a behind-the-scenes position. It’s a working leadership role in a secure correctional healthcare setting where strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and consistency make all the difference.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care, including triage and treatment planning.
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring they are adequate and used efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and facility operations.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in a correctional or healthcare setting.
• Experience in supervisory roles and strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
