About the role
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They function within the framework of the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Coordinate patient care activities of assigned staff.
- Maintain standards of nursing practice.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting.
- Current Georgia State RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate Licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
- Advanced certification in specialty field, if applicable.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms and cardiovascular pharmacology.
- High success rate with difficult IV sticks.
