About the role

Join our OB family at AdventHealth Winter Park, a premier destination for obstetrical care. We deliver approximately 3,500+ births per year, with a 12-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed Labor and Delivery unit, and a 34-bed Mother Infant Unit. Our multidisciplinary team includes Neonatologists/Pediatric Hospitalists and OB Hospitalists available 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing [Preferred]
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)

Qualifications

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Skills

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) and NRP [Required]
