Responsibilities

• Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
• Identification of outcomes based on needs assessment
• Establishing the plan of care
• Supervising the progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
• Maintaining education and competencies to remain proficient in providing high quality patient care
• Incorporating evidence-based nursing practice
• Identifying outcomes that are age and culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable
• Collaborating with the family and patient to establish realistic and measurable patient expected outcomes
• Coordinating, collaborating, and delegating appropriately to ensure care is provided in a safe, effective fashion
• Fulfilling all organizational requirements
• Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation, collaborate effectively with unit staff, leadership and other disciplines
• Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plan appropriate learning experiences, and demonstrate ability to validate clinical competence of orientee

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required for identified units per hiring manager within 4 months
• RN-C in related specialty preferred
• Physical Demands: Medium Work
• Tier 1: One or more years RN Labor & Delivery experience within the last 3 years or recent completion of Labor & Delivery orientation required
• Tier 2: One or more years RN postpartum experience or recent completion of post-partum orientation required
• .7 FTE (56 hours per two-week pay period)
• 8/12 combo hours night shift
• Every 3rd weekend

Pay

$44.64 to $74.33 per hour
