About the role

Seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition
• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn and reassessments as per policy
• Formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness
• Communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers and physicians
• Consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs
• Coordinate and supervise patient care, as necessary
• Demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby area
• Interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care
• Maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments
• Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse (R.N.) license
• Current BLS & NRP
• A minimum of 1-year recent experience in specialty
