Qualifications
- Education: Associate of Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
- Licenses: New York RN (Required)
- Certifications: BLS (Preferred)
- Nursing Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Emergency Department Experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
You will coordinate patient care and perform nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position. You will identify what patients need and care for them. You will work as a team player and supervise other nursing personnel that reports to you. You will keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner. You will maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in accordance with quality standards. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will have a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families. You will use your superb organizational skills when it comes to supplies and equipment. You will remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations. You will demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as part of a team while being able to remain calm in a high-pressure environment.
