RN Mental Health Clinical Instructor

About the role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors to provide clinical instruction at various healthcare settings, fostering students' academic growth and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
• Create a clinical environment conducive to student academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare and maintain accurate student progress and grade reports.
• Maintain and update attendance records in a timely manner.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.
• Supervise students in the clinical setting.
• Deliver lessons at the appropriate level for RN or PNs.
• Contribute to student learning through relevant nursing experience.

Requirements

• Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Current valid State RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
