RN Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Applies principles of cardiac and medical-surgical nursing in providing patient care.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment commonly used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Delivers pre-operative and post-operative patient teaching and education related to specific surgical procedures or adaptations in health status resulting from treatment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
