RN - Medical Surgical

About the role

Join a dynamic medical-surgical nursing team in a 19-bed unit specializing in urology, GI, vascular surgeries, wound care, pediatrics, orthopedics, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care following established policies and protocols.
• Develop individualized care plans through effective assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure holistic, culturally sensitive care.
• Educate patients and families on health measures to promote recovery and well-being.
• Mentor colleagues and foster a positive work environment.
• Utilize leadership and communication skills for effective team coordination and patient advocacy.
• Perform point of care testing and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of registered nurse experience.
• Active RN license and BLS certification in relevant states.

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and data entry.
• Ability to distinguish colors, odors, and sounds.
• Occasional patient lifting and movement.
