About the role
The Registered Nurse works in Jefferson's Medical Progressive Care Unit, a 28-bed unit equipped for high-level cardiac monitoring. The unit cares for patients with Respiratory Failure, Heart Failure, and those requiring Bi-PAP, chest tubes, and titratable intravenous drips.
Responsibilities

- Ensures appropriate order sets are used and supervises LPN scope of practice.
- Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care.
- Analyzes patient health status and compares it to norms.
- Notifies physicians and supervisors of changes in patient condition and intervenes accordingly.

Qualifications
- Minimum Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 criminal background clearances.
- Current State of Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state license through the eNLC.
- CPR certification preferred.
