RN - Medical Infusion, per diem

About the role

The Medical Infusion Center Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and reports to the Nurse Manager/Director.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience cannot be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN – Massachusetts) required; Basic Life Support required.
• Experience: One year Medical/Surgical experience required.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Successful completion of education and demonstration of clinical competence for the practice of Therapeutic Phlebotomy within 3 months of hire
  • Administration of Chemotherapy
  • Port Access skills required
  • Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required
  • Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit

Pay

Pay Range: $42.19 – $72.88 per hour (Grade RN4N33). Base pay is determined comprehensively based on skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. The range reflects minimum job qualifications and does not encompass all elements of the total compensation package, which may include differentials, premiums, bonuses, and recognition programs.
