RN - PER DIEM, INFUSION

Responsibilities

• Administers intravenous fluids, blood products, and other medications safely via peripheral and central catheters and ports.
• Identifies, assesses, and responds to problems through patient assessment and intervention.
• Evaluates actual or potential health problems.
• Develops and participates in educating patients and their support persons about post-discharge care and expectations.
• Initiates patient care meetings with the healthcare team to revise the patient’s plan of care on an ongoing basis as their condition warrants.

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Nevada RN license (BSN degree preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of Infusion or Transfusion room nursing experience.
• Active Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card required within 6 months of hire.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) strongly preferred.
• Active Acute Care Life Support Certification preferred.
