Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical/psychosocial assessments to collect basic data; follow the written plan of care, standards, and practice guidelines, including notifying physicians as appropriate.
• Formulate a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs.
• Participate in planning routine transitional healthcare needs (e.g., treatment options, patient placement options).
• Adapt planned educational programs and information to individual patients and families by modifying teaching strategies or content; integrate education during patient care delivery.
• Ensure efficiency in care delivery to determine immediate priorities and offer solutions for problems.
• Make independent clinical decisions based on knowledge from education and experience.
• Actively advocate for patient rights and identify potential conflicts; seek counsel for resolution.

Requirements

• One (1) year recent acute care hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience. (Training opportunities may be considered for those with less than one year of experience.)
• California RN license.
• BLS certification from an AHA-recognized training center.
• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

On-call availability may be required.

Pay

$54.43 - $73.98 per hour.
