About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role acts as a leader in the Interdisciplinary Team.
Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Achieves quality patient outcomes through delegation, direction, and assistance to licensed and ancillary team members.
- Maintains involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives.
- Assumes accountability for professional responsibility and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly.
- Evaluates and promotes change to achieve optimal outcomes based on data, information, and knowledge.
- Embraces behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and improve the profession of nursing.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Work Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.
Qualifications
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
