RN, Med Surg - Ortho - Part Time, Nights

About the role

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking an experienced Nurse to join the Medical Surgical - Ortho team. The position focuses on primarily orthopedic patients, with overflow from general surgery and medical patients. The team is passionate, diverse in experience and background, and operates a busy, fast‑paced unit. It is nationally recognized for Advanced Certification in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement, a leader in quality measures, and celebrates successes and hard work.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of applicable nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Schedule
