RN Med Surg Night
About the role
We serve orthopedic patients (hips/knees), general surgery, geriatric and general med/surg patients on a 30-bed med/surg unit. Staffing ratios are 1:5 for RNs and 1:10 for PCTs on days, increasing to 1:15 for PCTs at night. All rooms are private with decentralized supplies on each wing. A full-time charge nurse without patient assignment and a full-time patient care liaison support the team. We emphasize collaboration, shared decision-making, and continuous improvement with an engaged leadership structure.
