About the role

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an RN for Med Surg in Casper, WY. WY DFS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required. Schedule includes 4 weekend shifts for every 4-week schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical care to patients per physician orders.
• Monitor patient status, chart progress, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance in all care activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document care processes thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Utilize performance metrics and pipelines to identify and pursue improvement opportunities.
• Maintain on-site availability for shift coverage and timely patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate continuous learning and pursue professional development opportunities.
• Provide patient and family education to support post-discharge outcomes.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement projects and share best practices.

Requirements

• Current RN license and ACLS certification for Med-Surg care.
• Proven Med-Surg bedside nursing experience in acute care settings.
• Strong medication administration accuracy and safety practices.
• Ability to monitor patient status, escalate concerns, and coordinate care plans.
• Proficient in electronic health records documentation and charting.
• Experience with infection control protocols and safety compliance.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Comfort with performance metrics, pipelines, and data-driven improvement.
• Shift flexibility and on-site availability to ensure timely patient care.
• Strong patient and family education skills for discharge planning.
