Location: Manitowoc, WI (on-site at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital)
FTE: 0.9 (36 standard hours per week, Shift 3)
About the Role
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.
Specialty-Specific Requirements
- Critical Care: At least one year of Med/Surg experience required. ER and/or CCU experience preferred. ACLS required within the first year of hire.
- Emergency Services: At least one year of Med/Surg experience required. New graduates with Paramedic experience considered. ACLS required within the first year of hire. PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Women's and Children's Center: No experience required. One year of Med/Surg, Pediatric, and/or OB nursing preferred. NRP certification required within the first year of hire.
- Specialty Float: At least one year of Med/Surg experience required. ER and/or CCU experience preferred. Will float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS required within the first year of hire.
- General Float: At least one year of Med/Surg experience required. Will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum.
- Medical/Surgical: No experience required. One year of Medical Surgical nursing preferred.
- Prep & Holding/PACU: At least two years of experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or Surgical Services nursing preferred. ACLS required within the first year of hire.
- Surgery Center/Special Procedures: Two years of Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing preferred. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.
- Surgical Services: Operating Room: No experience required. Two to three years of Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing preferred. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred.
- Cancer Center: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience preferred. BLS required within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent (required at hire or within specified timeframe)
- Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
