RN Manager Neuro Trauma PCU

About the role

This department supports the care of Level II trauma patients and comprehensive stroke patients, requiring a high level of clinical coordination and expertise. The manager oversees the staff of the Progressive Neuro/Trauma Unit and works closely with the department director, clinical educator, and resource nurses.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the delivery of patient care and related services for the Progressive Neuro/Trauma Unit in accordance with administrative policies, as well as the hospital's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the director, staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
  • Maintain Clinical knowledge of areas within the department.
  • Manage day-to-day operations involving scheduling, patient-team rounding, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction.
  • Absorb responsibilities in the absence of the director and manage issues outside of their job description scope to Senior Leadership as needed.
  • Participate in staff rounding, staff meetings, and related committee meetings.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of leadership experience (Coordinator, Manager or higher)
  • Critical Care experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • NH RN License or Compact State RN License
  • ACLS & BLS within 30 days of hire

Pay

Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend shifts as needed.
