About the role

This individual will oversee resident care and direct nursing staff, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants. The RN will also monitor assigned staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serve as a resource to all staff regarding the quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care when required.
• Administer medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Effectively manage nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Assess the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.
• Conduct regular staff meetings on each shift and provide updates to the Director of Nursing (DON).

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
