Shifts

We have openings for full time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions. Additionally, there is a Weekend Package available for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering 10 hours of Baylor pay for working the weekend.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Assess and implement interventions for resident care based on standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care, in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements.
  • Make daily rounds to see all residents to ascertain condition and comfort.
  • Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection.
  • Absorb and instruct personnel.
  • Assist Director of Nursing and/or RN with developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care to include, but not be limited to, recognition of spiritual, emotional, psychosocial, and functional factors.
  • Encourage and assist with restorative care in self-care and group activities.
  • Maintain oversight of nursing personnel compliance with nursing policies and procedures and competency of clinical skills, evaluating nursing staff job performance with direction from the Director of Nursing.
  • Communicate with the health care provider as indicated by resident needs or status and assure follow-through; maintain hand-off communications with oncoming shift regarding resident care needs.
  • Oversees direct care staff and ensures staff complete tasks and cares as assigned.
  • Speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to apply principles of basic general math.

Qualifications

  • The Charge Nurse must be a graduate from an accredited school, be currently licensed.
